A STRANGE GIFT

It is early in the morning.The sun is shining brightly.The birds are getting up one by one. They are singing.Two deer are talking to each other under a big tree. They are complaining about another deer. They look so unhappy. They think their friend is so selfish.

One of them says "He takes our food, drinks first and keeps everythining for himself.We say something to him and he becomes angry.He kicks us.How can we stop him"

One of the rabbits says "Kick him too! Why don't you do the same thing?"The others say altogether"We are not like him.He kicks us.We don't.We are not bad."They ask"Who can teach him a lesson?"

The owl is listening to them,He is thinking. Later he says"miss witch can do it."They ask"Can miss witch do it?" "yes, Miss witch can do it,"says the owl."Go and ask her to do it for you."

Then they go to miss witch's house altogether.The owl starts sleeping.The selfsh deer comes.He smells around.He understands that other deer are nearby .He thinks the other deer don't want to be with him.He leaves.He starts shouting loudly.

And the owl wakes up because of the noise.He is frightened.He is nearly falling down the tree.He shouts and asks"Who is making that terrible noise?" "it's me,the deer," says the selfish deer,He asks "What is happening here ? I want to know everything."The owl says "Miss Witch is giving some gifts. Your friends are on the way to her house for the best gifts.Don't you know that?" The selfish deer gets angry.He starts running

Miss witch is in the her hpuse.She is listening to the other deer.She is tring to solve the problem.She knows that the selfish deer will be there in a few minutes.

Now,the selfish deer is at Miss Witch's house.She says "Don't worry! I have the bestgift for you.You must wait for the full moon.You will go in the lake.Don't swim in the lake. Just put your feet n the water.You can have the best gift."

It is a strange way to give a gift.He can't ask any more questions to the witch.He is afraid of her.

He goes to the lake.He starts waiting for the full moon.It is a nice and mysterious place.The trees look very nice.The flamingos move as if they are dancing.

The moon is in the sky.He watches the lake for a short time.He sees a shiny way on the water.The selfish deer feels excited.He tries to for remember the witch's words.He keeps his breath and walks.

His feet are in the water now.He looks at his feer. They become gold. Yhis is the best gift.He becomes very happy.He goes to the forest.He shows his feet to the other animals. They are surprised.He really has the best gift.He is not a good deer.He doesn't have the worst gift.

In a short time he becomes more selfish.He is proud of his golden feet. They shine brightly. They look like the bright stars.But a few hpurs later the wild animals start to run after him.He runs and runs.He can't hide.It is easy to see his feet.He feels tired.He asks for a little food from his friends.

At last he goes to miss witch's house.He wants his feet back. Miss witch tells him to go to the lake again.She says"You must go at night again.The lake will see your feet.Go in the lake. Remember your bad habits."

At that night he leaves his bright golden feet.He leaves all his bad habits in the water.He goes in the forest.He is not selfish any more.He is happy with his friends.He shares his food.He drink with his friends.
