At the Maryland Power Electronics Laboratory (MPEL), University of Maryland – College Park, we have spent the past year conducting in-depth research focused on developing scalable, efficient, and standardized strategies for the integration of Vehicle-Integrated Photovoltaics (VIPV). As we reach the conclusion of this study, we are pleased to share our key findings and contributions to the advancement of this emerging technology.
VIPV offers a promising solution for sustainable transportation by enabling solar energy collection directly from vehicle surfaces—reducing reliance on fossil-based grid electricity and lowering emissions. ☀️
