    i wanted to stop in and share some london news with you this evening.

    albam is one of my favorite shops here in london. i have been a fan of their men’s clothing and accessories for a while now; i was psyched that i’d be able to see it all in person when i moved to london. since then, i’ve bought some of their quality goods and it’s always a pleasure to stop in and see what new stuff they have on offer. plus, the guys who work at the spitalfields store are good people, and it’s always nice to spend some time browsing and chatting with them.

    recently, they have re-tooled and re-arranged their spitalfields store a bit. they placed some big tables in the center of the store and among their clothing, you’ll find a well-curated selection of books, magazines and other zines. i was quite happy to hear from my friend maria that they would be offering certain books from lines & shapes in the store — 2 of my favorite small businesses, together! it put a huge smile on my face to see feast, journal of plants and a small book of polaroids (by steven harrington) here in london. last weekend, i snapped a couple of pics.

    if you are in london, be sure to stop by and see what albam has to offer. their selection of books and clothing is interesting and thoughtful. in addition to lines & shapes, you can find nieves, qompendium, farewell books, gottlund verlag, and magazines like inventory and apartamento. and their book selection is a work in progress, so watch for new additions.
