After Rosa’s story about Rudy Fowler’s
companies is published in ‘The Globe’, her boyfriend,
Dan’s restaurant is wrecked as a warning to her to
stop her investigation. She tells her boss, Sid, and he
suggests that she takes a vacation. She agrees but
on the plane she is kidnapped by a man with a gun.
She is locked in a room in a house and tied to a bed.
There are three men guarding her. But someone
throws a hand grenade through the window of the
room, and Rosa uses it to escape with the help of
Dan and Sid. Back at home, Sid explains that the
rabbit’s foot he had given her was a radio transmitter,
so that he knew where she was when she touched it.
Rudy Fowler was arrested at the house and is put on
trial for polluting the oceans. At the trial, Rudy
believes that he will escape punishment as he has
done every time before, because he has rich and
powerful friends. But this time he has made a
mistake. He is sentenced to 20 years in prison for his
crimes, thanks to Rosa Raye’s investigation.
