i watched the movie totally oblivious to what i was getting myself into. i won't spoiler anything of the things you're going to see (hence the fact, there is no spoiler tag above), but if you want to as surprised as i was, just don't read the next paragraph. go in or rent this movie, just by knowing it's a japanese movie from the 70s that has a few surprises!

although one should add, that this surprises are for an adult audience only. the only thing i knew, was that this had stirred some excitement and uproar back in the day. and it's still very disturbing to a certain extent. the torture scenes are pure genius on the one hand, but on the other they are despicable (you just have to decide which side is yours). having said that, i have to admit, that i liked the movie (it's so wonderful non-pc), but it was nothing more than a torture marathon! ;o)
