Baptistery of St. Louis is considered as the most unique piece of Islamic Art collection in the Louvre Museum. This basin’s diameter is 19,75 inches (50.2 cm) and its height is 8.75 inches (22.2 cm). The artist of the piece is Muhammad ibn Al-Zain as we understood from the arabic inscriptions in it and it is made between the years 1250-1400. Baptistery of St. Louis is thought to be a symbol of brightest period of Mamluks in which they defeated Mongols, crusaders and etc. If we should describe Baptistery of St. Louis the first thing we must stress is the outstanding metal inlaid on it. This inlaid made by using silver, gold and black paste and it exhibits scenes from princely cycle for instance drinking. The object also represents Mamluk sultan on a horse and his emirs around him and this is a significant representation of hierarchy in Mamluk palace.

Pyxis of al-Mughira also represents the connectivity that we talked about. It is an ivory-carved box which has scenes from princely cycle on it and Arabic inscriptions above this scenes. This object is found at Iberian Peninsula where a Muslim state appeared between 711- 1492. Pyxis of al-Mughira also contains icons such as lions attacking a bull, egg collecting people and men on horseback date-picking and this icons are standing for victory and quest for sovereignty in Arabic poetry(Bernus-Taylor, 1996). This interaction shows us that two different forms of art can overlap each other in terms of symbolism.
