    intro
    changes in approaches to citizenship
what is enacting and what are its benefits – emphasise the disruption it causes in habitus. (mention the importance of habitus for construction of dominant understanding of citizenship through engin’s last chapter in being political)
can we and why should we see euthanasia as an act of citizenship? what does it do? explain through mf – last chapter of the history of sexuality that death belongs to a higher entity than ourselves (is predominantly nation but also religion; actually that entity changes throughout time) – that is how it is constructed. but, death can be seen in another way; as the becoming singular of beings such as ourselves. explain this with derrida and heidegger.
then claim that it is this singularity of death (as all acts of citizenship are singular) alongside the disruption of the habitus (alibiful death) that makes euthanasia a political act.
    to be used:
engin isin – being political and acts of citizenship articles
    mf – history of sexuality
    derrida – gift of death
heidegger - ? but definitely hubert dreyfus.
    euthanasia?
